Lori Short, MS, LBS, BCBA

Founder and CEO

Lori received her BA from Temple University in 2009. During her undergraduate studies, she began working with children, adolescents, and young adults, providing one-to-one support to individuals with Autism, developmental disabilities, as well as behavioral diagnoses, through Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Services. In 2012, Lori obtained her MS in Applied Behavior Analysis from Saint Joseph’s University and shortly thereafter became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) as well as a Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS). She has contracted with both Delaware County and Montgomery County Intermediate Units to provide behavior analytic services in the Early Intervention Program. Lori plays an integral role in evaluations and assessment of individuals with special needs and has sound knowledge of the IEP process. She is proficient in developing programs to enhance verbal behavior, increase appropriate replacement behaviors, and decrease maladaptive behaviors. Lori also works with military families in the tri-state area (PA, NJ, DE), providing services to individuals across the life span, in the school, community, and home setting, in addition, to participating in a local non-profit to promote inclusion of all abilities. Lori values an interdisciplinary approach, team cohesion, and continues to strive to maximize each individual’s full potential.

Dana Hall, Billing Specialist

Executive Director and CFO

Dana Hall, Medical Billing Specialist, became a member of the American Academy Professional Coders after she received her training in 2014. She began working in the medical field in 2008, after graduating as a Medical Assistance. She started her journey as a hands-on medical assistant at an internal practice, learning all aspects of medical diagnoses. She found her specialty in 2009 when she began working as a Billing Specialist at Mercy Suburban Hospital. Along with the challenges this field has brought, Dana was able to fulfill her need to grow and learn. In 2011, she furthered her billing experience with Tristate Imaging, a high volume organization. Currently, Dana is working with two medical practices, as well as a behavioral agency,  where she utilizes her specialty and experience as a billing specialist. Over the past several years, Dana has gained interest in serving a community outside her realm of experience. Through these years, Dana has helped serve individuals with medical as well as developmental and behavioral disorders. She has dedicated her own time and resources to serve those most in need of therapeutic services. She has become passionate in providing high quality service given the multi-facet field in which in she works. Dana continues to strive for excellence in this field by employing her skill set within multi-disciplinary organizations and is looking forward to applying her experiences in order to succeed with a focus on team solidarity.

Lila Berenholz, BA

Lead ABA Therapist

Lila Berenholz, ABA Therapist, graduated with her BA in Psychology with a minor in Education Studies from Skidmore College. While at Skidmore, she worked in the Child Development Lab researching learning patterns of young children, and interned at Saratoga Bridges, an outpatient rehabilitation center, for adults with developmental disabilities. Lila has worked, as both an infant and toddler lead teacher, at Children's Creative Learning Center in NYC. She has experience caring for children ages 6 weeks to 14 years, through work as a camp counselor, dance teacher, and preschool classroom assistant. With a passion for working with others, Lila values collaboration and teamwork in order to meet the needs of every individual she encounters.

 
 

Stepping Stones believes in cultivating an environment for practitioners to grow and develop, within an agency that promotes team collaboration. We encourage our 1:1 staff to maximize their potential, while striving to support the needs of others. As a provider, we endeavor to promote growth professionally, and give access to those who chose to do so. Stepping Stones Therapeutics currently staff a dedicated group of: BCBAs, BCaBAs, Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT), and ABA Therapists. We encourage all our staff to continue to pursue further education and experience in the field.
